Melanie is great to work with when sending clients to her neighborhood. She is thorough and very knowledgeable and walks our clients through the entire process and their building options. Even at a busy open house, Melanie took the time to talk to everyone who came through who had questions. We could not be happier with our new Kerley Family home in Springside Reserve. The entire building process was smooth and enjoyable. Our Sales Manager, Linda and Sales Assistant, Kimberly were incredible to deal with. Our builder, Brandon holds his crews to a very high standard and made sure everything was done just how we wanted. Angie, the VP was by our side throughout design and construction phases as well. Overall, this was a fantastic experience for us.

Beware!! That’s all I can say. The house was not built with care. Literally, there was a footprint in the front of the walkway. I was told, “Well unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about that”, by the construction manager, Chris. He was extremely rude and verbally aggressive. He was absolutely awful to me and my family, when we expressed our concerns that needed to be addressed. Financing was great until it wasn’t. Asking for essential documents 48hrs before closing should be unacceptable, if the buyer has been on top of providing documents the entire process. The joys of being a first time homebuyer was stripped away from Kerley and I want others to be aware. I have attached pictures to show “the care and delicacy” that was put into these homes.

We just bought a Kerley Family Home at Estates at Hurricane Pointe. Everyone in the process was amazing especially the sales manager we worked with Ronda. She went above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience. Consistent communication on timelines and follow-up on any items that were verbally discussed. As a real estate agent myself I saw how much effort and time everyone at Kerley Family Homes put in to ensure we had a positive experience. Garron, the builder was amazing as well. He was patient with us during out two walkthroughs and made sure we knew how to work every device, door, and other aspects of our home. Great job, Kerley family homes!

I have excellent experience with the team of Kerley Family Home, especially Ronda Levy Mcleod, Community Sales Manager and Joni Gober, Sales Assistant. WOW wonderful experienced and enthusiastic professionals. I should be giving them 10 stars but my hand is tight on five because Google allows me only 5? Great team, the house is beautiful and builder Chris is excellent. I feel all of them are my family. I, my wife, and daughter are so happy to move into my new house.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE!! I’m glad i didn’t make the mistake of purchasing a home from Kerley Family! Specifically in Park center pointe . I started the process of purchasing a new construction town home in park center pointe. The property manager Lajuana was amazing. She was the best part of my experience. This was my first home so the process was all very new to me. Before they started their own mortgage company the loan officer i had with first continental mortgage was amazing then they switched and the entire experience went down hill The new loan officer failed to communicate anything with me which ended up causing me to lose the rate that i had locked, i had to run my credit all over again after already being approved and settled and the house i built with specific upgrades didn’t come with anything i paid for. Because of their lack of attention to detail they wanted me to pay almost $500 more in mortgage for something i didn’t do wrong and they expected me to take a blue house missing the upgrades i paid for. I got a pre drywall inspection done which their builder strongly advised against, of course they found a ton of things wrong. We made the builder aware of this and instead of fixing any of them they just threw the dry wall up and said they were fixed. We have solid evidence that none of this was done. Their fix for the huge mistakes they made were a cheap fridge OR a cheap washer and dryer. I lost all confidence in this companies capabilities as a builder or as a mortgage company. I requested to cancel my contract and to be refunded my Earnest money due to the Many reoccurring problems, but of course they couldn’t care less and refused. Because of them my home buying. experiences has been ruined and i now have to start all over from scratch.

The purpose of this posting is not to critique or criticize the quality of Kerley Family Homes or warn potential buyers of any known perils of purchasing a KFH property, to the contrary we believe that KFH deliver value and the purpose is to share our experiences to allow others to draw their own opinions/conclusions . In 2021 we purchased a KFH townhome with the usual supply chain delays consistent with that time period, however absent of any issues or drama you would expect with home building. Fast forward to June 2023 when we decided to build a single family home naturally our first instinct was to visit a newly established KFH sub division. We liked what we saw and heard from the field team who are without a doubt courteous and accommodating in their sales efforts. With the intend to move forward we hired a pool contractor to select a lot that would accommodate our pool. After careful consideration and extensive due diligence we landed on a lot, that with the proper set back would accommodate our pool. We moved into contract and submitted our significant earnest check in the process. About 30 days in, the slab frame was placed 10 feet further back then originally discussed. That set back now put into play the rear easements which prevented our pool from being placed on the lot. We decided to pivot and select another lot that was more conducive to a pool. We were confident our dream home which would be our family place during our retirement years was finally going to be a reality. About 18 days from contract of our new lot I was informed by my employer that my position was prematurely eliminated and I was out of work. Given my age (66) and lack of suitable positions available I had no other options than to retire, again prematurely. I notified KFH of my situation and signed a contract termination form. KFH responded by offering to hold our lot for 60 days to see if our situation changed. Given the reality of my situation I knew a position wasn’t realistic in 60, 90 or even 120 days and among other factors I didn’t want to tie up their lot with the “hope” of a job. After declining the offer from KFH my RE agent was informed we would not be refunded our earnest money despite the life altering circumstances we experienced. I do not have any expertise in contract law or the home building business, but I do understand business decisions having held numerous sales leadership roles in the better part of a 4 decade career. I understand that making a business decision solely on what’s best for the bottom line or to the letter of the law and not considering other factors especially that of the customer’s plight has consequences. In this case it compelled a loyal KFH repeat customer to post this and question the decision to keep our earnest money which can be perceived by other seniors or any other potential buyers for that matter that KFH senior leadership lacks empathy or sensitivity when making decisions that impact their customers lives.
